REFUSE!
Large format posters designed for an exhibit highlighting 25 years of Knoxville band posters. These were hand-collaged on a Xerox machine and reproduced on large format architectural printers (each poster was 36" wide and was fitted in local shop windows).
The Public House
Logo created for Knoxville bar, playing off of English traffic signage and beer foam.
Dustbin Days
Logo created for an all-vinyl radio show. The type utilizes the “rope type” often seen on 70s country records, particularly on private-press and self-released albums, of which the show draws heavily from.
Robin Surber
Robin's studio work often uses collage and found objects incorporated into paintings, and she wanted a card that reflected the layering in her work. Type was created on an antique typewriter and scanned. Star hand-stamps and woodblock type were assembled and scanned, then placed on a worn paper texture. Printed on extra thick stock.
BlueGrass Veterinary
Identity for a veterinary clinic in Middle Tennessee (located in Sparta, a town recognized for its important role in the history of bluegrass music). The clinic wanted to honor that history so I created a logo made of scanned letterpress type, and have also incorporated the state of Tennessee’s 3-star logo, reinforcing the central TN location.
